Go to Budapest when rates are cut

Budapest, the capital of Hungary is a very attractive destination all year long. The city has numerous prominent sights and quite a few happenings, that attract tourists from the whole World. It is recommended to find out in advance when  you should visit the city to bypass crowded dates with unreasonable room rates or bad weather conditions.

Hungary’s weather is influenced by continental climate, which creates a year of four seasons. Wintertime is considerably cold and frosty with quite some snow and temperatures between 5 and -15 centigrades, ugly weather lasts approximately two and a half months. The spring is adorable, in March, the temperatures can be around 20 centigrades from time to time, however the expected early spring weather is around below fifteen degrees. The month of April is changing sometimes with summery days and a couple of drizzly ones. In May, the weather is absolutely awesome with quite a few very hot days. Summer is usually very warm, around 28-35 degrees, but especially in July some  chillier days can appear with quantities of rain. Summer still lasts in September , many times November is the first colder month.

In Hungary, high season usually starts in the beginning of April and concludes on 31st October, with inflated accommodation prices, as everywhere else. It is possible to bump into various bargain offers in the end of March or beginning of November with surprisingly cheap low season prices, when booking cheap Budapest hotels. You can have a look at temperatures and make a last minute booking if the prospects are good, in order to save. When not attending, it’s best to stay away from bigger events, similar to the Formula 1 Grand Prix in the end of July and the Sziget Festival in August, as prices are not cheap and hotel rooms get booked months earlier. It’s very much the same with weekends in May and September. If summer weather is OK with you, it makes sense to look for cheap hotel rooms in Budapest early summer time and go for a price reduction.

One more very beloved date is year’s end, because there are a large number of programmes and many places to celebrate in Budapest. This results in higher hotel prices, as well. It’s noteworthy though, that by Christmas time, less travellers come to Budapest. Which is a perfect opportunity to visit the city with shopping for Christmas in the various fancy Christmas fairs all around the inner city.
