Great places to go on a holiday
Europe is an outstanding area to spend some time for an outstanding vacation. It is very diverse in nature and culture. Obviously we all know that Paris is a breathtaking location to choose for a holiday, I mean, you see it in a lot of movies as THE most romantic place to visit.
But Europe has many other destinations which are definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a little break or a vacation to “load up your batteries” if you know what I mean. We give you a suggestion below with a brief description of what you can expect from the location.
Amsterdam
Amsterdam is the capital of The Netherlands, a country with about 16,5 million inhabitants living in one of the most populous areas on this planet. It has wonderful museums (like the Vincent van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum, which hosts the most popular painting of Rembrandt, The Night Watch, which fills a total gallery) and amazing markets where you can buy all kinds of stuff really cheap.
In addition to that, the city of Amsterdam is known for its many, many restaurants. Amsterdam has over 1500 restaurants which all have their own specialty. Personally we would like to recommend the Gauchos chain (astonishing Argentinean restaurants all over the city) and a very special restaurant called Casa Peru, where you will enjoy the kitchen of Peru in South America. On the other hand, for this restaurant you really have to make your reservations. It only has a couple of tables and everyday they are fully booked. It’s the only Peruvian restaurant in Holland.
Amsterdam is also the location of the extremely popular Anne Frank House, which hosts more than a million visitors every year. People line up practically every day to visit this astonishing piece of history and find out where Anne and her family have been hiding in World War II.
